Kendall Jenner was in Paris cosplaying Blair Waldorf—minus the color, and layers upon layers of necklaces. The KarJenner, who doesn’t “feel like a Kardashian,” was photographed in the streets of Paris on Sunday, June 25, looking like an Upper East Sider circa 2010.
The model and reality television star wore an ivory minidress featuring a bateau neckline and three-quarter sleeves with a corset-like fit at the waist. The length of the hem as well as the flared silhouette called to mind the skater skirt of the early 2000s. Jenner took another giant leap into 2006 by pairing the look with black pointed-toe ballet flats.
The 27-year-old kept her accessories neutral and subtle, wearing a black headband on her dark hair, black sunglasses, hoop earrings, a slim bracelet, and of course, her Birkin, in a warm cognac color with gold hardware. The look is a bit of a departure from her usual, which is typically a body con or otherwise fitted silhouette.
However, the stealth-wealth vibe of it all brought to mind her sister Kylie’s own Parisian wardrobe, which was filled with neutral hues and classic, though more conservative, silhouettes. But don’t get it twisted; the Jenner sisters couldn’t be more different. At least, according to Kendall.
“Since I was really young, I felt out of place in my family,” Kendall Jenner told The Wall Street Journal Magazine in an interview published last week. “I was born into this life, but I didn’t choose this life. I’m not built for [fame] by any means…. I’m not good at it. I do it, and I’ve learned how to do it.
Whereas Kim, for example, relishes the limelight, Jenner says she’s more like her dad. “I obviously understand I fall under the umbrella of the Kardashian sisters,” she said. “It’s just weird to me…because I am just like my dad in so many ways. I’m such a Jenner, in my opinion.
