After landing the role of Glinda in a movie adaptation of Wicked The Musical, Ariana has been working on the incredibly detailed set (pictured) and so spending the majority of her time living in London. Grande revealed the news of her casting as the good witch in November 2021 on her Instagram with the caption ‘Thank goodness’, referencing the name of the song that opens the musical’s second act. The role is a dream come true for Grande, who has mentioned yearning to play Glinda on Broadway in previous interviews and even released a remix of ‘Popular’ from the show with MIKA in 2012. Ariana will get to don her pink gown twice as the story will be split into two films, with the first arriving in cinemas on 27 November 2024, and the second on 26 November 2025.
Spotted at Wimbledon without her wedding ring, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Grande separated from Dalton Gomez in early 2023 and the pair “have been quietly and lovingly working on their friendship”. The split has been put down to the strains of a long-distance relationship and the change of lifestyle once Covid ended once the star’s packed schedule started up again. Grande has deleted the pictures of her home wedding to Dalton from her Instagram profile after TMZ reported that he is already dating other people, despite being “devastated”.
Meanwhile, Ariana is focusing on her new life in the UK. She’s been spotted shopping with castmate Cynthia Erivo (pictured) and is said to be renting a huge mansion according to The Sun. With security a priority, the house sits on private grounds and is set well away from prying eyes “even though it’s costing hundreds of thousands of pounds for her to rent it,” the source said. “No expense has been spared in the house. It really is like a palace.”
A source said the singer is living in a sought-after neighbourhood in North London, known for its parks, upmarket shops and cafes and celebrity residents including Liam Gallagher and Ricky Gervais. The house apparently has an enormous floorplan, including a huge kitchen with top-of-the-range appliances and all the bedrooms feature high-end furniture. There’s even a cinema room. While there are no confirmed pictures due to the place “being like a fortress”, perhaps with a fresh start on the horizon, Ariana will consider a more long-term move to the UK…

Ariana Grande-Butera was born on 26 June 1993 in Boca Raton, Florida. She spent her early years living with her parents Joan Grande and Edward Butera, who had relocated from New York just before her birth. Both parents had high-flying careers and Ariana and her half-brother Frankie had a comfortable upbringing. Joan is the CEO of Hose-Mcann Communications and Edward is the CEO of Ibi Designs Inc., a successful graphic design company. Her parents divorced in 2003, when Ariana was 10 years old.
Ariana Grande and her family lived in this five-bedroom home in Boca Raton, Florida from 2004. They paid a not insubstantial sum of $1.6 million (£1.4m) at the time. An indicator of how well-off The Grandes were, the 6,000-square-foot house, which sits on half-an-acre of land, has two floors and a whole host of enviable features that would have been a dream for any kid growing up in the 1990s.
The whole house is spacious and finished with luxury materials such as marble and hardwood floors, archways and crown mouldings, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the garden. The gourmet kitchen is fitted out with top-of-the-line appliances and there’s a library, a sauna and a workout room.
Not your average family home, the star grew up in the lap of luxury with access to a swimming pool, home theatre, a soundproofed music studio and an observatory with a telescope. The lush tropical grounds also have an outdoor kitchen and bar, and the whole house is hurricane-proof, with its own power generator.
From a young age, Ariana was destined for stardom. During her education at North Broward Preparatory School, she began performing on stage. At 15 she secured a role in the Broadway play 13, and after a few more small roles she landed the on-screen debut as Cat in the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious.
After her acting debut, Ariana followed with the spinoff Sam & Cat, which ran from 2013 to 2014. She then dove headfirst into a chart-topping music career after signing with Republic Records. However, her first single, ‘Put Your Hearts Up’, failed to reach the charts when released in December 2011.
Ariana’s chart debut finally happened in April 2013 with her single ‘The Way’, featuring the late Mac Miller, which peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100. Instead of jumping straight on the property ladder like these childhood stars, Ariana decided to rent properties around the Los Angeles area. One of the first was this home in the long-time celebrity haunt of Toluca Lake, which she was reported to have stayed in with her mother, Joan. Filled with mansions and industry professionals, the neighbourhood has been home to fellow child TV stars Miley Cyrus and Hillary Duff.
Built in 2007, the custom-built gated manor would have been the perfect home for a young pop princess. With 10,000 square feet of interior space, the numerous living spaces are home to seven fireplaces with hand-carved mantels, coffered ceilings and wood and stone floors.
Perfect for entertaining, the home boasts a formal dining room with a wine cellar, as well as a huge chef’s kitchen with a granite centre island. The luxuries don’t end there: elsewhere you can find a home theatre, a gym and an upstairs family room.
Outside, the grounds feature rolling lawns, fountains, a small stream and a pool, a spa with a swimming pool and an outdoor living space complete with a kitchen and fireplace.
It has also been reported the star rented out this home in Hancock Park 10 years ago, with her mother. Designed by LG Scherer and once owned by legendary Hollywood director Francis Ford Coppola, Grande was said to have installed a recording studio in the basement, which is believed to still be there today.
Recently renovated, the six-bedroom classic English Tudor estate boasts a dramatic two-storey entrance that leads through to a wood-panelled sunroom, new gourmet kitchen, family room and formal dining room. It would have been the perfect stopgap for the budding star.
In 2012, the home was on the rental market for $18,900 (£17k) per month, so it wouldn’t have come cheap for Ariana and her mum. Spread over 6,000 square feet of space, there’s a swanky kitchen with a centre island, custom-built cabinetry and marble worktops, while French doors open out to the gardens and terraces.
Heading outside, Ariana would also have had access to the stunning grounds complete with manicured lawns and a swimming pool. The perfect place to unwind away from her busy lifestyle as a teen star.
The 18-year-old star was starring in sitcom Victorious when she invited the cameras into the home in 2012. She showed viewers her collection of shoes and her posters of her idols Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, as well as the so-called “Vampire Dining Room”, where she claimed she had heard loud bumps in the night.

After a string of west coast properties, a 25-year-old Ariana finally jumped onto the property ladder for the first time on the other side of the US. In 2018, after a whirlwind romance with actor and comedian Pete Davidson, she snapped up a lavish apartment in New York’s Chelsea neighbourhood for a reported $16 million (£14.4m), presumably as a base while Davison continued to appear in Saturday Night Live, filmed at the iconic 30 Rockefeller Plaza (AKA 30 Rock).
As with her previous homes, this luxury apartment didn’t cut any corners. Coming in at more than 4,000 square feet, it features five bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths. The swanky home came unfurnished, which didn’t go unnoticed by fans when Ariana posted a picture of an empty room on Instagram.
With views over the Empire State, the building and apartments were designed by the famed architect Zaha Hadid. The enormous 900-square-foot living room overlooks Manhattan’s beloved elevated greenway the High Line, while the luxurious master bedroom is a true oasis with its own sitting area, windowed master bathroom and two large walk-in wardrobes.
The couple’s new building also came complete with several jaw-dropping amenities. It features one of the only private IMAX theatres in the world, with just 12 seats, while elsewhere there is a 75-foot indoor pool, a wellness floor and a private party space. In October 2018, after being together for just five months and shortly after they announced their engagement, the couple suddenly split. The apartment reportedly sold for $13.5 million (£12m) in July 2021.
Returning to California, Ariana’s next purchase came in the form of this property in Montecito for $6.8 million (£6.1m). The singer purchased the home, known as Porter House, from TV chat show host and architecture buff Ellen DeGeneres in May 2020, around the same time she met the man who would become her first husband, Dalton Gomez.
The beautiful home, renovated by Ellen, boasts a 5,500 square-foot interior, three bathrooms and two bedrooms. The house began life as two 300-year-old English barns, which were later renovated into this unusual Tudor-style home. The original structures were dismantled and shipped to California to be rebuilt into the mansion we see today.
Full of stunning décor and design, the home features vaulted ceilings and cosy fireplaces in the main living spaces, while the two kitchens are kitted out with the latest tech, including a huge glass-fronted fridge that reportedly cost more than a BMW 3-series.
The master bedroom is just as breathtaking, with an ensuite bathroom that features dual vanities and a soaking tub that sits in front of a large picture window, looking out on to the surrounding trees and gardens designed by landscape architect Tom Nielsen.
After getting engaged in December 2020, Ariana tied the knot with Dalton in May 2021 in an intimate surprise ceremony in the home, attended by fewer than 20 people. The white walls, exposed beams and brick fireplace made for the perfect backdrop in this photo she shared with fans. The songstress sold the property in August 2022 for $9.1 million (£8.2m) in an off-market deal, earning herself an approximately $2.3 million (£2.1m) profit. In June 2020, Ariana splashed out on a mansion set high above Los Angeles’ iconic Sunset Strip, in an exclusive neighbourhood known as The Bird Streets. The new buy cost her $13.7 million (£12.4m) and included more than 10,000 square feet of ultra-modern living space. Built in 2018, the house has something of a dark history. It was constructed by the Woodbridge Group, a company once owned by the fraudster and convicted criminal Robert Shapiro, who conned more than 84,000 investors out of billions of dollars.
Until Ariana took up residence, the house had reportedly never been occupied, although it was built two years prior. Since then, it had been on and off the market with prices starting at a huge $25.5 million (£23m) before it was reduced to sell. It looks like Ariana snagged herself a bargain!
Inside, the metal front doors open out onto a small atrium featuring a marble wall. Beyond this sits the sprawling open-plan living space that boasts floor-to-ceiling walls of glass that overlook the surrounding hills. A double-sided fireplace sits at the end of the space, separating it from the swanky formal dining room.
The expansive kitchen is the perfect place to host gatherings and a big draw for any passionate cooks. It features designer Miele appliances and a huge black silk granite centre island. With views out over the Los Angeles skyline, it’s the perfect place to dine under the stars.
The home’s lower level has all the amenities a pop-princess could ever need. With a massage room and sauna, it’s the perfect place to relax. Alternatively, there’s a bespoke wine cellar, wet bar and movie theatre for entertainment with friends after dark.
Upstairs, the master bedroom is any newlywed’s dream. Spread over the entire top level, it boasts a walk-in wardrobe, lounge area, a relaxing tub and a glass shower. Offering seamless indoor and outdoor living at its finest, there are stunning views to wake up to each morning.
The estate doesn’t have much of a garden due to its location on a steep incline. However, with a large patio and L-shaped infinity pool with breathtaking views, it’s still a beautiful outdoor area that’s perfect for alfresco entertaining.
In October 2021, not much more than a year after she bought the lavish home, it seemed that Ariana was ready to move on, and she sold the home for exactly $14 million (£12.7m) according to The LA Times, making a scant $100,000 (£90.3k) on the deal. You’d be forgiven for thinking the singer is keen to downsize. She bought this quaint two-bedroom cottage, just a skip away from her last property in the exclusive Bird Streets neighbourhood, for $9 million (£8.1m) in March 2021. The 748-square-foot home was built in 1946 and has been recently renovated. Sitting on a quarter-of-an-acre of land, it’s crying out to be developed further.
Clinging to a steep hillside, with views across Sunset Strip and West Hollywood, the property’s most unique feature is its ultra-private setting. Invisible from the road behind tall trees and a long gated driveway, it includes a pool and patio. Grande may decide to convert the cottage into a studio or, more likely, tear it down to create her dream home. According to Architectural Digest, Ariana’s most recent purchase in June 2022 is a $4.9 million (£4.4m) home in the Hollywood Hills that previously belonged to Cameron Diaz. The retired actress never lived in the 1,800-square-foot pad, built in 1950, but it’s next door to another of her homes. Fortunately, the property was updated and extended in 2018, so it should be in great condition for Ariana, whatever comes Thank U Next for her.
