Wendy Williams was all smiles as she cheered on her son, Kevin Jr., at his college graduation. The occasion marked a rare public appearance for the talk show icon amid swirling reports about her declining health.
The 60-year-old media personality attended Florida International University’s graduation in Miami on Thursday (Dec. 19), surrounded by family members, including her father, Thomas Williams Sr.
Photos circulating online show Wendy Williams cruising in style on a motorized scooter decked out with a Louis Vuitton monogrammed cup holder and a Chanel-inspired front pouch. The television icon dressed to impress for the special day, wearing a sparkly, low-cut dress, black boots, and a bold “W” necklace that added a personal touch.
This appearance comes amid reports from her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, who described the former “Wendy Williams Show” host in court documents as having “been afflicted by early-onset dementia and, as a result, has become cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated.”
Morrissey’s comments about Williams’ health surfaced during a legal battle with the media companies behind the docuseries “Where Is Wendy Williams?”
The lawsuit alleges the series was filmed and released without proper consent, exploiting Williams while she was in a “highly vulnerable” state and unable to provide informed approval.
For the most part, Williams has stayed out of the spotlight as she focuses on her health. She was last seen out with Kevin at the holistic store Bolingo Balance in Newark, N.J., in August.
