Though January marks the end of the holidays and the festivities of early winter, there’s one thing we can always look forward to once the new year begins, and that’s none other than Girl Scout Cookie season! However, this year is the last year to get your hands on two specific flavors, as Girl Scouts of the USA announced that they would be discontinuing their S’mores and Toast-Yay! flavor of cookies. Here, read everything we know about their discontinuation and how you can get your hands on a box before they’re gone for good.
Say goodbye to two beloved flavors
Cookie fanatics were first introduced to the S’mores cookie back in 2017 while 2021 brought us the Toast-Yay! cookie. The Girl Scout S’mores was a sandwich cookie made up of two graham cookies filled with chocolate and marshmallow-flavored creme filling. The Toast-Yay! cookie takes inspiration from the beloved breakfast treat French toast, defined by its toast-like shape and dipped in icing with a French toast flavor.
Luckily for fans of these flavors, you’ll have the entire 2025 cookie season, which lasts up until April, to get your hands on a few boxes of your own before they’re gone for good. If you wish to prolong the life of your cookies, be sure to look at the “use or freeze by” date on the back of the box. However, aside from these two flavors, there are still countless others to choose from.
2025 Girl Scout Cookie flavors
This year, you can get your hands on 12 flavors in total. These include classics like Thin Mints, Samoas, Do-si-dos and Tagalongs, as well as flavors like Trefoils, Toffee-tastics, Lemon-Ups, Lemonades, Caramel Chocolate Chips and Adventurefuls. Ranging from shortbreads to citrusy biscuits and indulgent chocolate treats, there’s a cookie for everyone in your family to enjoy, with each box costing between $5 and $7.
What other flavors have been discontinued?
In addition to Smore’s and Toast-Yays!, there have been many flavors that have been cut over the years, the most recent being Raspberry Rallys, which resulted in them being resold for quadruple the price on sites like eBay. Other fan-favorites that were met with tearful goodbyes include Savannah Smiles and Dulce De Leches.
