Novak Djokovic vs Carlos Alcaraz live updates: Australian Open 2025 result and reaction

Novak Djokovic overcame injury and losing the opening set in a brilliant victory over Carlos Alcaraz, in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Australian Open.

Djokovic, who is chasing a record-extending 11th Australian Open title, fought back to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 against his 21-year-old opponent.

Djokovic sustained an injury to his left leg in the opening set. He quickly changed his tactics in an attempt to end points earlier, although he appeared to improve physically as the night went on.

He will now play second seed Alexander Zverev for a place in Sunday’s final. Should he win, he will be one step closer to securing an unprecedented 25th grand slam title.
