FORT TEJON, Calif. (KGET) — Interstate 5 is open in both directions between Highway 126 and Grapevine Road after it was closed for hours due to the Hughes Fire, according to Caltrans.
According to officials, the Lake Hughes and Parker roads off-ramps from northbound I-5 are closed. The Tejon Rest Areas on northbound and southbound I-5 are closed due to a public safety power shut off, according to Caltrans.

Multiple ramps and lanes were closed for hours due to the fire. Detours were in place at Highway 126 if you were traveling northbound. Highway 14 was an alternate route for northbound and southbound traffic, officials advised.
The Hughes Fire has burned over 9,000 acres and forced evacuations in the surrounding area.
