David Beckham’s London Mansion: Next Door to the Royal Couple
One is naturally forced to imagine the sensational when the best of both worlds come together. David Beckham and Victoria Beckham can safely be called that! Loved across the world for their sense of style, it comes as no surprise that their West London abode is equally, or maybe even more, fashion forward. While the house is befitting of a player like David Beckham who has enjoyed fame and fortune during an illustrious playing career, the credit for it goes to Victoria Beckham. The English midfielder lived in the Rowneybury House, popularly called Beckingham Palace, a Grade II listed building in Sawbridgeworth, England, before moving into his West London house with his family. The Beckhams also own a $8 million barn in Cotswolds, where they hang out at weekends with their four children. They will now be neighbours to Prince Harry (the Duke of Sussex) and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, who will be moving to Cotswolds soon.
The West London property of David and Victoria Beckham is a mansion located in Holland Park in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, in West London that David Beckham and Victoria Beckham bought in 2013. They moved into their current townhouse no sooner than 2016 after spending an estimated $10 million on refurbishments and a host of home improvements, and boy, did it pay off!
Celebrity designer Rose Uniacke was brought on board to oversee the entire project. The mansion houses four floors and three lavish guest bedrooms. The plush property boasts of an assortment of standout features that includes a sprawling patio, spacious courtyards, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a professional powder room for Posh Spice Victoria Beckham, marble-tiled bathrooms, a gym, wine cellar, a catwalk style runway, a home cinema, an indoor pool, a triple garage and six bedrooms. The monochromatic, pristine space provides some serious design inspiration and surprisingly contains two acres of an apple orchard in congested London.
David Beckham’s London Mansion: Posh Spice Approved
With four children, space was the focal point of the design process of the Beckhams’ London residence. This is where Victoria’s love of monochrome came to the rescue. Marble staircases, black and white tiled floors and grandiose bay windows were incorporated into the design. Most families with six-year-olds running around wouldn’t be too happy at the thought of light coloured furnishings, but minimalist decor like the simplistic white and neutral cream toned couches and upholstery certainly helps the cause. The monochrome theme, true to Posh’s chic style, runs across the house with resplendent vine leaf and floral print wallpapers lending intermittent pops of colour.
A posh mansion for David Beckham in London: Kitchen is Where the Heart Is
Kitchen is the one place where the Beckhams have invested a lot of thought and effort in. The kitchen features high-spec appliances like the $3609 Fracino Contempo Coffee Machine that provides barista standard drinks. The charm of the entire space is elevated with beautiful flowers arranged in vases along with statement pieces of art and furniture. And how can one not love those sleek black cupboards in the kitchen! If open wooden shelving with strip lighting wasn’t enough, they got a flat screen installed to keep themselves entertained while cooking.
