(WTVY) – According to multiple reports, Gordo, a small Alabama town, suffered significant damage when a tornado struck on Saturday afternoon.
The Tuscaloosa News posted photos of damage to homes and other structures in and around Pickens County, where Gordo is situated.
The town is roughly midway between Tuscaloosa and the Mississippi line.
There were other reports of tornadoes in Alabama, but damage estimates were not immediately available.
There were no immediate reports of injuries in those tornadoes as emergency officials continued their assessment.
