LOVE MAY NOT COST a thing, but prime real estate in Bel Air certainly does.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have just recently purchased a palatial $86.7 million (USD $65 million) property overlooking the Hollywood Hills … marking a major step in round two of their relationship.
Despite it feeling like the duo are rushing into things, they’ve actually been romantically-involved for nearly a year now. Bennifer 2.0 were firstly stylishly spotted together in March 2021.
While there’s been whispers of a second engagement on the horizon — since their ill-fated nuptials in 2004 — nothing has been confirmed yet. And given their public support for one another, both on the red carpet and on social media — Lopez won’t be shy in showing off a ring on her left hand.
Nonetheless, until we see that eminent diamond — we can bask in the beauty that is Lopez and Affleck’s new home together, known as The Bellagio Estate.
Their humble abode comes with all the celeb power couple necessities, including not one but four kitchens — ideal for Lopez who loves cooking and entertaining — 10 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms.
It was originally built in the 1930s by Paul Williams, long considered “one of the most important Los Angeles architects,” but has since undergone extensive modifications.
Previous owner, hedge funder Todd Lemkin, reportedly bought the 1,850 sqm property with his wife Kasey for $US37.3 million back in 2016 — and gave it a “full-scale renovation of their own that likely cost many millions.” The primary suite has even been labelled by Realtor.com as the “ultimate retreat,” featuring a sitting room, and double baths and wardrobes.
In addition to the many living areas, the mansion also boasts a slew of luxury amenities including a wine cellar, fire-pits, an infinity pool and a home theatre — perfect for the two Hollywood screen stars.
While the Bellagio Estate has sweeping city-wide views, its 1.1 acreage also looks out to the swanky Bel Air Country Club golf course.
Even though the property features all the contemporary bells and whistles, Entertainment Tonight says the pair still plan on modifying the place to suit their personal tastes — and their big blended family. Affleck has three children from his marriage to Jennifer Garner, while Lopez shares two with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
“They are looking forward to making the home their own and having a place together. They are also planning to decorate it together and any renovations that they choose to do will be theirs together,” a source told the outlet.
“Jen is definitely taking the lead on the home decor, but they want to implement both of their styles so everyone feels comfortable moving into the house and this new chapter in all of their lives.”
Affleck and Lopez — who still own their respective LA homes — have yet to comment on their fresh property purchase, but undoubtedly Instagram will be the first to know of any opulent updates.
