Luckily for LeBron James, the Lakers bounced back from their previous crushing defeat to the Sixers by putting up an impressive performance against the Pistons.
LeBron James was disappointed after experiencing the worst defeat in his 21-year career. Following the Los Angeles Lakers’ humbling 44-point loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, a visibly frustrated James became a social media sensation for his blunt, emotionless remarks in the locker room after the game. He emphasized that “a lot” needed to be done to improve the team’s performance.
James was lucky to see the Lakers step up their game just 48 hours after their loss to the Sixers. The team dominated the Detroit Pistons from start to finish, with D’Angelo Russell putting up an impressive 35 points and nine assists on 13-of-17 shooting. Anthony Davis also made his presence felt with 28 points, 16 rebounds, and three blocks. James contributed 25 points, eight rebounds, and three assists before sitting out most of the fourth quarter with his teammates. Following the game, James praised the Lakers’ excellent response to their previous defeat.
