Wausau, DCE School Districts among many closures ahead of snow on Thursday

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – The Wausau and D.C. Everest School Districts are announcing schools will be closed on Thursday due to the upcoming snowfall during the day.

Some schools will still have a virtual learning day including NTC and Colby School District. Make sure you check the status of your respective school or business.

In a statement, WSD says, “This decision was made in consultation with the National Weather Service, local meteorologists, and other local school districts. We’ve learned even though conditions and roads will likely be okay early in the morning, they will quickly deteriorate as the storm moves in. Nothing is more important to us than the safety of you, your students, and our staff.”
