It’s Kendrick Lamar’s time to shine. The award-winning rapper will make history tonight as the first solo hip-hop artist to headline the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. Here’s what time to tune in and what to expect from the groundbreaking performance.
The 37-year-old Compton native is no stranger to football’s biggest stage. Back in 2022, Lamar shared the spotlight with hip-hop legends Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige, performing “M.A.A.D City” and “Alright.”
While the setlist for tonight’s show remains a mystery, there’s a strong possibility he’ll sing his smash hit “Not Like Us.” The diss track dominated the 67th Grammy Awards last week, winning five Grammys, including Best Music Video, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year.

What Time Does The Super Bowl Halftime Show Start?
The Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show is expected to begin between 8 and 8:30 p.m. ET, depending on the length of the first half of the game. Once halftime starts, it will take approximately 10 minutes to set up the stage and prepare for Lamar’s performance.
How To Watch The Super Bowl Halftime Show
The Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show will air on Fox in 2025. For the first time, the Super Bowl will also stream on Tubi, Fox’s free streaming platform.
If you don’t have cable, you can stream the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show on live TV streaming services that carry Fox, including DirecTV Stream, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, YouTube TV—all of which currently offer free trials.
Who Is Performing With Kendrick Lamar At The Super Bowl?

Joining Lamar on stage tonight is chart-topping R&B singer-songwriter SZA. The two previously collaborated on “All The Stars” from the Black Panther soundtrack and “Luther” from Lamar’s latest album, GNX.
While SZA is the only confirmed guest so far, Lamar might surprise the crowd with more special appearances tonight. Future and Metro Boomin could join him to perform their recent Billboard Hot 100 hit, “Like That,” or he could even reunite with former Black Hippy group member ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, and Ab-Soul.
Taylor Swift—who will be in attendance to support her boyfriend and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce—could join Lamar on stage for a “Bad Blood” duet. Realistically, it’s a long shot, but if it happened, it would send viewers and social media into an absolute frenzy.

In addition to Not Like Us and his tracks with SZA, Lamar could perform other songs during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, including GNX singles “TV Off” and “Squabble Up,” along with fan-favorite tracks like “Money Trees,” “M.A.A.D. City,” “Alright,” “DNA.,” “Humble.,” “King Kunta,” and more.
